Our Board

Ross Bailey ATC,
LATRoss Bailey begins his sixth
year as TCU's Associate Director of Athletics for Operations. In his
role, Bailey supervises the sports medicine department, equipment
room, video services and strength and development. He also directs
and manages the game-day operations for football, men's basketball
and baseball. In addition, he oversees new facility development and
construction as well as the maintenance of current facilities.
Prior to taking on his new responsibilities,
Bailey spent the previous 22 years as Head Athletic Trainer at TCU.
A certified and licensed athletic trainer, he is a member of the
NATA and serves as a member on the Board of Athletic Training for
the Texas Department of Health. He also works as an associate on the
Justin Boots sports Medicine Team.
Bailey was the 1985 recipient of the Eddie Wojecki
Athletic Trainer of the Year Award and earned the Frank Medina Award
for service to athletic training and mankind in 1999. He was
inducted into the SWATA Hall of Fame in 2000.
Bailey received his bachelor's degree from TCU in 1976 and his
master's degree in education in 1978 from TCU. Bailey and his wife,
the former Mary Hutton of San Antonio, are the parents of two
daughters, Lauren, a junior at TCU, and Courtney.
Greg Gilman ATC, LAT
Greg graduated from Texas A&M in 1984 after working with the
football program for five years. He is licensed and certified as an
Athletic Trainer. Since graduation, he has worked with high schools,
professional hockey, and has served as Head Athletic Trainer for the
Texas Ballet Theater since 1991. He currently consults with numerous
ballet schools as well as Metropolitan Classical Ballet. In 2005, he
was selected as a member of the National Taskforce on Dancer Health
by DanceUSA, charged with improving the overall health and
well-being of professional dancers.
Dr. Steven J. Meyers, MD
After obtaining his Bachelor's degree from The
University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Meyers received his MD degree
from The University of Texas Medical School at Houston. He then
completed family practice residency at Baylor College of Medicine in
Houston followed by a one-year fellowship in
Primary Care Sports Medicine
at U.T. Southwestern in Dallas.
Dr. Meyers currently serves
as team physician for
Texas Ballet Theater,
Trinity Valley School and the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo in
addition to serving as assistant team physician for men and women's
athletics at Texas Christian University.
Dr. Meyers and his wife, Orly, are the proud parents of twin boys,
Mitchell and Brandon. When not covering athletic events or spending
time with his family, Dr. Meyers enjoys racquetball, wakeboarding,
mountain biking and woodworking.
Dr. Joseph Milne, MD
Dr. Milne was born and raised in Bloomfield Hills, MI. He did his
undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University, followed by
medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX.
Following medical school, Dr. Milne did his Orthopedic Surgery
residency at the University of California, Davis Medical Center in
Sacramento, CA. Upon completion of residency Dr. Milne returned to
Texas for his
Sports Medicine & Arthroscopy
Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine.
Dr. Milne has been practicing in Fort Worth since 1993. He
currently serves as the orthopedic team physician for
TCU, along with Dr. Brotherton.
He has also served as the team physician for the Fort Worth Fire
Hockey team, the Fort Worth Cavalry Arena Football League team and
Trinity Valley High School. Dr. Milne is an Adjunct Assistant
Professor at
TCU,
teaching in the
Athletic Training Program,
and a
Clinical Instructor at UT
Southwestern Medical School where he
teaches the sports medicine fellows.
Dr. Milne is board certified in Orthopedic Surgery
and is a member of the
American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons
and of the
American Orthopedic Society for
Sports Medicine. He has authored numerous
articles and book chapters on surgery of the knee and shoulder.
Rick Redden ATC, LAT
Rick graduated from Hardin-Simmons University in 1995.
He is certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association
and licensed by the State of Texas.
Rick has been active in the Southwest Athletic Trainers
Association as well as currently serving as President of the North
Texas Athletic Trainers Association.
He has also served as an examiner for both the national and
state athletic trainers’ exam.
Rick is married to his wife Christy and they have four
children.
